Tableau License is usually granted in '2' to '3' business days once the developer submits Tableau LARF with all required information and is approved by their manager.

No need to download and install Tableau software on your local machines.
Tableau Desktop and Tableau Prep applications are hosted on Tableau Citrix Environment. Once you obtain a license, these applications can be accessed using standard web browsers like Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer etc. For more information, refer Step 5
3. My department owns a Tableau Desktop/Creator License. Can we convert it to Enterprise Tableau Developer License?

4. Can we install and setup Tableau Desktop or Tableau Prep applications in local machine with Enterprise Tableau Developer License?
No, you can't. These applications are only accessible from the Tableau Citrix Environment
5. Does it cost to obtain Tableau Interactor or Viewer access on Tableau Server?
Tableau Interactor and Viewer access is free of cost.
